You Are What You Eat


When God calls you to do something, you can run all you want but you are always going to collide with destiny. For about the last eight years I have found myself more focused on nutrition. I've always been in the gym but my eating started to match my fitness goals as I learned more about the relevancy of the ingredients we use to how we feel and our overall health.

I feel better when I eat better. When I am mindful of what I put in my body, my body responds in a great way. Lately, however my motivation to cook has been lacking. To know that I am getting the best nutrients, it's best that I do my own cooking. But I just don't be feeling like it. Even with great resources like Pinterest, my creativity has been dormant in the kitchen.

With that said, I am trying to find ways to spice things up in my diet (see what I did there). I just signed up for one of those meal services...okay, Hello Fresh (they're not paying me to say their name but maybe they will one day). I figure if I can already have the meals planned with all of the ingredients there for me, maybe I will fall back in love with cooking.

I really want to live a vegan lifestyle during the week and have more freedom in what I eat on the weekends. Living with people with particular tastes can be challenging, but I'm up for the challenge. I have to resist the temptation to eat what I see other people eating and do what makes my body feel best.


I am learning that taking small steps leads to bigger results, at least for me. So, I'm writing this here blog for you to hold me accountable.
